General policies

Check-in time is 2pm, check-out time is 11am.

Breakfast is served at the ranch between 7am and 9am. It includes traditional Costa Rican dishes, eggs, cereals, fresh fruits, juices and coffee/tea. 

For reasons of general well being and respect to nature, and due to it being a legal requirement in Costa Rica, it is strictly forbidden to smoke inside the premises of the lodge.

Because of wildlife roaming the surroundings of the lodge, as well as for safety reasons and respect to other guests, pets are not allowed. 

The bungalows do not have TV or telephone because we do not want to disturb the beautiful orchestra of the forest and the stream. Do not worry you will not miss them. 

Yabá Chiguí Lodge seeks to ensure a safe stay for you, your family and your belongings. For this, permanent personnel will be hired and safe boxes will be available in each bungalow. Nonetheless, we kindly request you to take the necessary precautions to safeguard your belongings. 

We request our guests to use the facilities in a reasonable and careful manner. Any damage caused by misuse or negligence will be the responsibility of the guest, including the cost of replacement and/or repair. 

The parents or adults in charge will be responsible for the care and supervision of children within the premises, particularly in the swimming pool area and on the decks of the bungalows. Do take into consideration the proximity of the forest and the stream, where wildlife is abundant.

Cancellation policy

Any request of cancellation must be done via email and will become valid upon receiving a reply from Yabá Chiguí Lodge.

Cancellations sent at least 60 days in advance will only incur in administration fee charges: 20% for payment by 2Checkout or 10% for payment by credit card.

Cancellations sent less than 60 days in advance will be charged 50% of the total booking cost.

In the case of cancellations with less than 30 days, or non-arrivals, 100% of the booking cost will be charged.

Other restrictions may apply, at the discretion of Yabá Chiguí Lodge.

Booking and payment policies

Yabá Chiguí Lodge has implemented a booking system on its webpage that allows you to verify room availability on specific dates and to make payments via 2Checkout. When making a booking you must pay in full, after which we will send you a confirmation email. If any problems arise with your credit card we will inform you immediately and request you for an alternative card.

During the Premium season (Dec 16-Jan 2) we request a minimum stay of three nights.

During the Green season special rates and promotions will be advertised.

Privacy policy

Yabá Chiguí Lodge guarantees the complete safety and privacy of personal information provided. Under no circumstance will identities and/or information be shared with third parties.
